Charles H. Harper | Manager

Charles H. Harper, Jr. is the son of the late Charles H. Harper, Sr. and Elleen L. Harper of Chesapeake, Virginia. He is a 1978 graduate of Deep Creek High School and a 1982 honors graduate of Virginia Union University with a B.S. degree in Education. In 1984, he graduated with honors from John Tyler Community College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Funeral Service.
Charles has been employed with Scott’s Funeral Home since 1982 as a Funeral Director and Embalmer.
Charles is a deacon at Fifth Baptist Church and the former Chairman of the Deacon’s Ministry. He has served on the Finance Committee, member of the Men’s Fellowship, E. M. Brown Ensemble and the Voices United. He is the past president of the Central District Funeral Directors Association. Past president also of Richmond Funeral Director’s Association. He is a member of the Virginia Morticians’ Association, Pi Sigma Eta Mortuary Fraternity, Epsilon Nu Delta Mortuary Fraternity, life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and a member of Friendship Lodge #19 Free & Accepted Mason, P.H.A.
He is married to the former Zina Jackson of Philadelphia. Charles is the proud father of two children, Camille D. Luke and Charles K. Harper and three grandchildren.
